Imagine a busy work day. You had an hour to write thoughtful responses to 20 emails followed by back-to-back meetings. We have all been there. You find yourself with 5-10 minutes to yourself. How can this time be used to reset and recharge?
This learning experience offers a variety of tools that can help you do just this that.
When tasked with created a brief learning experience for adult office workers, I used the ADDIE model to create a brief slide deck that could be easily accessible.
Please read below for an in-depth look at the project and how it was created.
Overview of the ADDIE Model Connection
ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) was carefully considered when developing this project.
Analysis Phase
Needs Assessment:
Conducted surveys & interviews with office workers to identify stressors
Researched common workplace stressors (deadlines, workload, lack of work-life balance)
Target Audience:
Office workers (entry-level to management)
Learning Objectives:
Recognize stress levels at any given time
Apply at least three stress management techniques
Design Phase
Instructional Strategies:
Group Discussion - Instructor led
Interactive elements (self-reflection activities, technique practicing)
Short videos with relaxation exercises
Slide Structure & Flow:
Introduction to stress
Understanding stress triggers
Practical stress management strategies
Action planning
Development Phase
Tools Used:
Google Slides for presentation
Canva for visuals
Embedded YouTube videos for guided breathing exercise
Google Forms for pre/post-assessments
Implementation Phase
How It Was Rolled Out:
Delivered via virtual workshops & self-paced online learning
Available through LMS or Google Drive
Facilitated discussions for knowledge retention
Instructor vs. Self-Guided Mode:
Options for instructor-led and independent learning
This was initially presented to a team of entry-level associates, and was later given as a self- guided experience to some developing assoicates that were stuggling with stress management
Evaluation Phase
How Effectiveness Was Measured:
Pre- and post-learning surveys
Employee feedback and engagement metrics
Manager observations of behavioral changes
Results & Adjustments:
Noted Key takeaways from feedback
Planned improvements for future sessions
